This has got to be one of the best songs that has come from the nineties in the pop genre. It’s one of Steps best crafted song to get you up and dancing or just in an overall good mood. Forget about Rednex’s ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ as the best cowboy/girl song, 5,6,7,8 kicks Rednex out of the barn. No matter how old you are you’ll still find yourself dancing to it, whether or not you know the dance routine you still try.

With its contagious catchy lyrics and energetic barn dancing wherever you are you’re going to want to sing or dance to it. And if you’re that person who was brought up in the nineties, once you hear the song plenty of childhood memories come flooding back creating that nostalgic feeling or embarrassment. However with a great collection of tracks from Steps ‘5,6,7,8’ clearly stand out from the rest of the tracks that have been produced.
